Madhuri Dixit became the brand ambassador for a charity project for the conservation of elephants.

The 44-year-old Bollyood star has been made a brand ambassador for Gemfields International, Zambias leading emerald mining company.Gemfields, an emerald mining company of Zambia, has collaborated with World Land Trust and Wildlife Trust of India to launchEmeralds for Elephants, a project that raises funds for protection of elephants in Asia.Gemfields has selected ten jewelers across the country to create jewels using ethically mined emeralds from Zambia. The designs are inspired by the elephants and the corridors the mammals roam.
