The cast members of X-Men: First Class discussed their fascination with the long-running Marvel franchise X-Men.The movie is a prequel to the silver screen series and answers long standing questions that intrigued fans of the previous movies and comics, such as How did the X-Men come together? and Why is Xavier in a wheelchair? The movie is a new beginning for the X-Men. Set in the 1960s at the height of the Cold War, the story revolves around events that determined modern world such as the Cuban missile crisis. It is also the period of civil rights, which fits the main theme of X-Men, that constantly asks for acceptance and peaceful co-existence between mutants and humans. The movie has a complete new caste including James McAvoy as Xavier, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, January Jones as Emma Frost, Rose Byrne as Moira Mactaggert, Jennifer Lawrence as the young Mystique, actors Nicholas Hoult as Beast, and Lucas Till as Havok. The movie opens widely in theaters on June 3rd.
