Punjab Assembly passes resolution to ban celebrities from hosting Ramazan shows

The assembly requested the government to invite religious scholars to the Ramazan.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Assembly unanimously accepted the resolution seeking a ban on celebrities for hosting Ramazan transmissions.

The House requested the federal government and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to invite religious scholars to the Ramazan programmes instead of focusing on the actors.

The resolution was submitted by Pakistan Rah-e-Haq Party’s parliamentary leader Maulana Muhammad Muavia Azam.
