Pop sensation Nazia Hassan was one of the lucky ones to have achieved fame at very young age.
Born in Karachi on April 3, 1965, the beautiful and talented Nazai Hassan won the hearts of millions with her music. In 1980, when she was just 15-years-old, her song ‘Aap Jaisa Koi Meri Zindagi Mein Aaye’ in an Indian movie took her to new heights of fame. Nazia Hassan recorded a total of five albums from which the album ‘Disco deewane’ set many records. She along with her younger brother, Zohaib Hassan, captured the hearts of the audiences with their lyrics in the 80s. The brother and sister sold more 60 million records worldwide. Nazia died on August 13, 2001 due to lung cancer. The government of Pakistan awarded Nazia Hassan with ‘Pride of Performance’, which is the highest civilian award.
