39th death anniversary of this prolific and amazing singer and musician is being observed today.

(Web Desk - Dunya News) The classical, regional and deeply rooted in culture, the musical instrument chimta, is known as a traditional percussion instrument of South Asia. This instrument is often used in popular Punjabi folk songs.

Known for astonishingly playing the instrument, Alam Lohar outreached this traditional musical instrument to next level.

The 39th death anniversary of this prolific and amazing singer and musician is being observed today. In 1979, on July 03, his soul was departed to the deity but his musical notes continues to exist in the hearts and minds of his hundred and thousands of admirers across the globe.

Matchless and unparallel singer and musician Arif Lohar had started his musical career in a very tender age and soon attracted the veterans with the magic of his voice and magnetism of his chimta’s musical notes.

After Alam Lohar, tens of singers tried to re-create the charisma of Arif Lohar’s sung world-famous Jugni but could not dispel the notes he had enchanted.

Besides Jugni, Lohar has also sung many popular and distinctive ballads and songs such as Ay dharti panj daryan di, dil wala dukhara nayeen, jis din mera biyah howay ga, qissa sohni mahiwal ka.

Alam Lohar was died in a car accident on July 03 1979.
