London is open so is Lahore: Ali Zafar greets Sadiq Khan
Ali Zafar met with the London Mayor Sadiq Khan to support the latter's campaign 'London is Open'
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s luminary in pop music Ali Zafar held a meet and greet session with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan in Lahore. On this occasion, Zafar equated London with Lahore vis-à-vis socio-cultural openness.
Pakistani actor and singer took to Twitter to express his thoughts after what appeared to be an endearing rendezvous with Sadiq Khan.
“Honoured to welcome you Sadiq Khan to our city/country. Your thoughts are inspirational and so is your story. London is open, so is Lahore to friendship and more happy times to come,” Zafar tweeted on Thursday.

He also shared a photograph in which he can bee seen greeting Khan.
The London Mayor, who is of Pakistani origin, is currently in Pakistan on a goodwill visit to promote his campaign ‘London is Open’. The campaign aims to reassure the aspiring immigrants of the UK metropolitian city’s hospitiliy for the foreigners, especially at a time when xenophobic sentiments are on the rise across the Western European nations.
