Buenos Aires Fashion Week entered its third day, with an impressive show by award-winning Argentinan designer Maria Pryor.

Pryors fall/winter line contained elegant knits and long, swinging coats, using models styled with pallid make-up, heavily blushed cheeks and braided hair. The Milan-trained designer says her theatrical style has been inspired by childhood trips to see her father sing at the citys famous Colon Theatre. This year, there was a medieval touch to her creations, with chain-mail necklaces and floor-length dresses. Her collection was well-received by the audience and Pryor, dressed all in white, coyly shared her thanks by briefly joining her models on the runway.Backstage, make-up artists and hairdressers were hard at work. Fashion Week began here on Tuesday and it is the biggest event of the year for the Argentine fashion industry. Lingerie company Triumph also showed off their latest creations, including jutting corsets and long-reaching suspenders.Argentine fashion house Prune also had its turn on the runway. Prune designer Maria Eugenia Farrell said the company - which has stores across Soutrh America -- had gone for a more classic look this year.
