Need to design policy for theater awareness in Karachi: Shakeel Siddiqui

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Pakistani comedian and actor Shakeel Siddiqui has said that there is a need to prepare new policy for the awareness of theatre in Karachi.
Siddiqui said that arranging stage dramas during Eid holidays is a big challenge. He said ‘Kiya Bik Raha Hai’ drama was the most costly as mega cast was selected for it.
He also lauded the performances of Rauf Lala, Saleem Afridi and others and wished them luck.
Shakeel said that he is getting offers from India as well but due to hostile relations, he has decided to work in Pakistan. He also revealed that theater halls are being allotted to specific groups which is actually affecting producers and artists.
