Meera refutes rumours of contesting election against Imran Khan
Meera, while slamming the media, termed the news false.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - A pissed off Meera Jee recently took to twitter to clarify the circulating rumours that she has expressed will to contest the 2018 General Elections against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.

She elucidated that she is not joining politics.
So pissed at all these media outlets putting up lies & garbage. Let me make it very clear. I AM NOT JOINING POLITICS. Understood? #sick

On a humorous note, she said that if a newspaper’s circulation increased by taking her name then it is all fine and good.

Back in 2007, Meera had announced her intentions to join politics but later retracted after three years saying the she is happy as an artist.
However; the same matter caught limelight in 2013 when reports came that she might be contesting from one of Lahore’s constituency against Khan.
But this time, Meera has savagely rejected all such reports straightforwardly.
