Manisha Koirala shows no interest in politics
Manisha Koirala is all set to make her comeback in the film industry with her upcoming movie.
MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Cancer survivor Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has said that she prefers to keep a distance from politics, reported Times of India.
Manisha belongs to a political family as her father was a former minister of environment, science and technology, and her paternal grandfather Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala was the Prime Minister (PM) of Nepal.
"I don’t see myself getting into active politics in Nepal," says Manisha, adding, "I want to do something for the country for sure, which is as much my home as India is. I actually do whatever little I can but I don’t discuss the details ever. In future too, I will be engaged in some time-bound projects there. I will stay in Nepal for as long as the project is on but eventually, I will return to my cocoon in India. At heart, I’m still an artiste, and a bit of a loner and recluse. So, I need my shell around me no matter where I go and what I do."
Manisha Koirala is all set to make her comeback in the film industry with her upcoming movie “Dear Maya” that also features Pakistani VJ/actress Madiha Imam.
Talking at an event, the actress said that “I will soon complete 5 years of cancer-free life, which I will be celebrating. God has been kind to me. I had great doctors, teachers and family support, so a combination of everything worked well.”
Dear Maya has been written and directed by Sunaina Bhatnagar and produced by Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhna Yadav under the banner of Bake My Cake Films.
