Shafqat Amanat Ali apologises for messing up National Anthem
Singer states that technical glitches responsible for creating impression of him forgetting lyrics
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani singer Shafqat Aman Ali has apologised on social media as a backlash over him for messing up the National Anthem while singing it prior to the India-Pakistan World T20 match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, reported Dunya News.
The singer posted on his Facebook page that technical glitches while the anthem was being sung gave the impression of him forgetting the lyrics. But he said that the reality was quite opposite.
“I admit that there were a few audio & technical glitches that may have sounded like lyrical errors & I will surely apologise for not being able to win your praises this time, but assure you that I had by no means "forgotten" our beloved Qaumi Tarana” he stated.
Shafqat was of the opinion that despite the loss against India, the Pakistani nation must continue supporting the Men in Green as the team is still in the early stages of the tournament and has the potential of making a comeback.
