Theatre for one viewer, one artist

Some people shy away from going alone to the theatre. But now the solo experience has become a little bit easier. Frederica Aspock is attending Theatre for One in Times Square, New York - a portable performing arts space which only accommodates one performer and one audience member at a time. It's the brainchild of Broadway set designer Christine Jones. Performances last between three and five minutes. Theatre for One may be small, but it comes complete with lights, sound, and the usual theatre paraphernalia - in the middle of Times Square. Steve Cuffo gives a performance every three to three and a half minutes, a much quicker turnaround than a traditional full-length theatre performance.
