The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented Jan. 12 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

BEVERLY HILLS (AP) - The Golden Globe nominations for best dramatic film have been announced in Beverly Hills, Calif., by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The nominees announced Thursday morning are: "12 Years a Slave,"   Captain Phillips,"   Gravity,"   Philomena" and "Rush."

The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented Jan. 12 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and airing live on NBC.

Steve McQueen was nominated for Best Director for the epic 12 Years A Slave, with nods for Londoner Chiwetel Ejiofor for Best Actor.

The films are also up against piracy tale Captain Phillips, space thriller Gravity, adoption drama Philomena, and race-car driving movie Rush.
