John Abraham refuses to promote Race 2
John Abraham has refused to promote Race 2 at the Mumbai Marathon.
MUMBAI: John refuses to promote Race 2 at the Mumbai Marathon but producer Ramesh Taurani is hopeful that the actor will relent.
John Abraham has been a regular at the Mumbai Marathon for many years. But when it comes to his film promotions, looks like the stud doesn't want to mix commerce with passion of thousands of health enthusiasts, and has refused to promote his upcoming flick Race 2 on the Mumbai Marathon platform.
John said, "Mumbai Marathon is a credible platform for supporting NGOs. I have no knowledge of any film promotion happening on that platform nor do I endorse it. This will set a precedent for other films in the future doing the same and I strongly believe that we need to promote a cause rather than a film even if it is my own film."
But the film producer Ramesh Taurani has another story to tell. He says, "John kar raha hai, he has not yet refused to promote the film at the marathon. Talks are still on with the organisers but we have not come to any conclusion so far. We are figuring out the dates."
