Queen of Bollywood item numbers Malaika Arora Khan turned 39 on Thursday.

Malaika started her career as a VJ on MTV. After her successful career as a television presenter, she opted for modeling and was equally successful in the same. Malaika rose to instant fame with her item number ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ in the 1998 film ‘Dil Se’.Later she performed to hit item numbers in films like ‘Kaal’, ‘Heyy Babyy’, ‘Kaante’, ‘Welcome’ and ‘Housefull 2’.She also featured in an item song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ in 2010 blockbuster movie ‘Dabangg’. The song became an instant hit topping the charts.Malaika is married to Bollywood actor-director-producer Arbaaz Khan and they have a son.
