LAHORE (Dunya News) - A tragic incident was reported from the Kahna area of Lahore, where a mentally disabled girl was allegedly raped.
Police have arrested the suspect shortly after the incident.
According to sources, the victim had gone out of her home to a local shop when the suspect, identified as Zeeshan, allegedly abducted her and took her to an undisclosed location, where he committed the crime before fleeing the scene.
Upon receiving immediate information about the incident, police obtained CCTV footage from the area, which helped identify the suspect.
Authorities later tracked him down and arrested him.
SP Model Town Asad Ali said CCTV footage also showed the suspect fleeing after the incident.

He added that swift action was taken following a complaint filed by the victim’s father.
He further stated that a case has been registered against Zeeshan and the matter has been handed over to the Gender Cell for further investigation.
“Those involved in exploiting women do not deserve any leniency,” he said.
SP Model Town added that the case will be processed according to law and justice will be ensured for the victim.
Meanwhile, police have initiated further investigations, and a medical examination of the victim is currently underway.
