A criminal case has been registered against four traffic wardens in Lahore for allegedly torturing an Airport Security Force (ASF) official.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A case has been registered against four traffic wardens over the alleged torture of an Airport Security Force (ASF) official in Lahore.

According to sources, the FIR has been lodged at Bhati Gate police station. As per the contents of the FIR, the incident took place on December 4, when traffic wardens assaulted the ASF official after he took out his mobile phone.

The FIR states that the traffic personnel took the ASF official to their office, where he was subjected to severe beating and manhandling. It further mentions that two additional traffic wardens also joined in the assault.

According to the complaint, when the victim lost consciousness due to the torture, the wardens allegedly took Rs120,000 from his pocket.

The FIR further states that the ASF official’s identity card, mobile phone, and force card were later recovered from the wardens by ASF staff.

Police officials said investigations are under way, and action will be taken in accordance with the law once the inquiry is completed.
