LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police have arrested a couple on the allegation of inflicting violence on an eight-year-old domestic help in Gujjarpura.
According to police, Raees and his spouse Hina Raees subjected Areeba to torment. They said a case would be registered against the couple for commiting domestic violence after receiving medical examination report of the victim.
The parents of the girl alleged that the couple and their children were involved in mistreatment of Areeba.
The incident has drawn attention to the issue of domestic workers' rights and child welfare, prompting authorities to take swift action against the suspects.
