Two 'robbers' shot dead by car riders in Lahore

Police arrest the car riders and are investigating if it was a robbery incident or a planned murder
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two alleged robbers were shot dead by car riders in Gujjarpura area here on Wednesday night.
The car riders who are in police custody claimed that they were returning home from work when two alleged robbers on a bike tried to stop them with the intention of snatching cash and valuables from them.
They alleged that before the robbers fired on them they opened fire and killed the robbers.
On receiving information about the incident, a Gujjarpura police team reached the crime scene to collect evidence and record statements of eyewitnesses.
A pistol and bullets were recovered from the scene. Dead bodies were sent to hospital for postmortem.
On suspicion, police also arrested the car riders with a Kalashnikov used to kill the alleged robbers.
Police are investigating if it is a robbery attempt or a planned murder.
