Eight more bandits captured in ongoing Katcha police operation

RAJANPUR (Dunya News) - The Katcha operation continued on the 18th consecutive day on Wednesday, as the police conducted targeted operation against dacoits and militants to end the reign of terror. As many 28 hardened criminals have been arrested so far.

According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Police, during the targeted operations a hideout of active member of the Qabul Sikhani gang Ishaq Jhobara Sikhani was set on fire in the Kattani area. Ishaq Jhobara Sikhani was involved in multiple heinous crimes such as murder, kidnapping for ransom, robbery, and other serious offenses.

The spokesperson added that during the operation, eight more dacoits belonging to Dolani and Imrani gangs were taken into custody in the latest spree.  A huge cache of heavy weapons and ammunition was also seized.

The police claimed that thousands of acres of land considered as no-go area have been cleared.

The spokesperson further said the police have restored the rule of law and the writ of the state by establishing camps in the central areas of Katcha, vowing to continue the operation against criminals until the area is completely cleared or all the bandits are arrested.

The morale of the policemen is high and they are determined for the noble cause, the spokesperson added.
