LEAs claim momentous achievements in Katcha area operation

The Army has been called in and armoured cars along with snipers reached the area
RAHIM YAR KHAN (Dunya News) – The law enforcement agencies have intensified operation going on in the Katcha area of Punjab province. The police have claimed to achieve substantial progress in the operation.
The sources said, latest armoured cars and 15 snipers from the army have been stationed in the area to achieve a strategic advantage over the enemy. According to the strategy, the snipers will attack the enemy from a distance and the police forces are advancing after that.
As of yet the police have entered Basti Kabul Lathani, previously considered as a no-go area for LEAs. The police claim to clear and establish control over several secret havens of Lathani group. The police have also extended the writ of state to Basti Ghani Lathani as well.
The police have cleared thousands of acres land that were previously considered as no-go areas, according to the sources. The police have also established camps in these areas.
The police said that all the dacoits and terrorists hidden in the area will be evicted soon and additional permanent police posts will be established in the area to avert such destabilisation in future.
The police said, all the dacoits got helpless against the police and took refuge in an Island like jungle after running away from the area under operation. As many 11,000 policemen along with officers have been conducting the operation in the area from last eight days.
