ANF arrests suspects in countrywide operations

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - Anti-Narcotics Force has been conducting anti-narcotics operations across the country and huge quantities of drugs were recovered during various operations while the suspects were arrested.
According to ANF spokesperson, 90 kg of hash, 33 kg 600 grams of opium and 12 kg of heroin were recovered from a car near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza and three suspects were arrested.
508 grams of heroin has been recovered from the suspected resident of Sargodha who was traveling from Islamabad International Airport to Jeddah. The recovered heroin was hidden inside the laptop screen.
In another operation, 32 kg 400 grams of opium and 19 kg 200 grams of hash were recovered from a car near Faisalabad Sahianwala interchange toll plaza and the suspected resident of Khyber was arrested.
In an operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, 280 grams of heroin was recovered from a parcel booked for England in a private courier office, which was hidden in different types of plastic sheets and packets.
In two different operations at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, 1.224 kg heroin was recovered from the suspect who was going to Dubai, which was skillfully hidden in a bag. In the operation, the suspected resident of Swat has been arrested.
In the second operation, 128 grams of narcotic pill powder and 620 grams of suspicious material were recovered from the suspect who was going to Sharjah. The suspected resident of Rahim Yar Khan was arrested.
While conducting an operation near the Main Super Highway in the Karachi area, 50 kg 400 grams of hash was recovered from the car and the suspected resident of Quetta was arrested.
According to ANF, 4 kg 160 grams of ice was recovered from the parcel coming from Rawalpindi at the bus stop on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi, which was hidden in the seat cover.
Both the accused were also wanted in cases already registered with the ANF.
ANF has started investigation by registering cases against all the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
