CTD Punjab arrests two most wanted terrorists
LAHORE (Web Desk) - The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested two most wanted terrorists of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan during an operation in Rawalpindi. According to the spokesman, the CTD Punjab with the help of other Security agencies conducted an operation in Rawalpindi and arrested two of the most wanted terrorists of the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, while foiling a major terror plan in the twin cities. The arrested terrorists included Hayatullah and Wakil Khan, he said and added that
The terrorists belong to the Haji Faqir group of Tehreek-e-Taliban and they wanted to attack the Rawalpindi police lines with suicide bombers.
The spokesman added that during the investigation, the arrested terrorists revealed that they wants to attack Sadar Police Station and District Courts. Rawalpindi, St. Paul's Church. Convent School Rawalpindi, Police Lines Islamabad and other sensitive places were also the targets of the terrorists, for which they scanned all the places and sent the pictures to the TTP Commander in Afghanistan. The Spokesman said that Haji Faqir group was operating from Afghanistan. However, he concluded that a case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is in progress.
