Usman Mirza Case: Police finds no eyewitness

The hearing of the case has been adjourned till February 8.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In the Federal Capital during the hearing of the case against Usman Mirza of torturing a girl and a boy, the court was told that no eyewitness have been found in the investigation.

The hearing on the boy girl video scandal case was held in District and Sessions Court Islamabad. Lawyer of the accused Malik Javed Iqbal had cross-examined Investigating officer (IO) Shafqat Mahmood.

The Investigation Officer said that, “I have met the victim boy four times and the victim girl three times. When the girl victim was approached for questioning, she was accompanied by a female police officer. The section 341 filed by the complainant and the first Investigation Officer Tariq Zaman was not applicable. Ownership of mobile numbers had not been gotten verified by the mobile phone companies. The victim boy and girl had no contact with the accused Usman Mirza and Mohib, even before and after the incident.”

IO Shafqat Mahmood has added that the victim girl’s location was never spotted to be Faizabad from November 16 till November 20, 2020. The victim girl’s location was not spotted of traveling from Lahore to Islamabad on November 18, 2020. From November 16 to November 20, 2020, the girl’s location was Islamabad. I have not mentioned in the map the details of the vase and paintings that had been found at the scene.

The Investigation officer further stated that it has not been mentioned on the map that on which floor the flat was located and the total number of flats in the building. The police have written letters to FIA twice, to inquire about who had uploaded the video on social media. The police have been waiting for the FIA’s response.

The letter to the FIA was not disclosed in the court while further hearing of the case has been adjourned till February 8.
