Minar-e-Pakistan incident: Policeman suspended for arresting 71-year-old man
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Policeman suspended for arresting a 71-year-old man over accusation of being involved in the Minar-e-Pakistan incident.
Lahore CCPO, while talking to media said that there was a mistake in the arrest of 71-year-old man in Minar-e-Pakistan incident, adding that the policeman involved in the incident has been suspended.
He said that some people have also been arrested in the rickshaw harassment incident and are being interrogated.
Talking to media, victim Haji Wazir Khan said that he was present in the house when he received a call from the police that the phone he is using, is a stolen phone and asked him to meet for further investigations.
"Policemen came to my house and took me to the police station and put me in the lockup," said Haji Wazir.
He said that at the time of Minar-e-Pakistan incident he was present in his house. "I was detained without interrogation," said victim, adding that the police should have taken care of our honour as well.
