12 kilos of heroin caught hidden inside furniture in Karachi
An attempt was made to fill the furniture with heroin and smuggle it through ship
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) caught 12 kilograms of heroin at Karachi International Container Terminal on Saturday. The heroin worth PKR 140 million was hidden inside a piece of furniture.
The sniffer dogs at terminal were quick to detect drugs hidden inside the furniture. Suspects from Faisalabad and Gojra were taken into custody after information from the arrested alleged.
The furniture was to be transported to a foreign country through shipment. The heroin was hidden in different compartments of the bed.
The terminal officials stated that the cost of heroin caught is approximatly about PKR 140 million in the international market. “The surveillance was carried out under secret notice”, they added.
Two suspects were arrested during the action by ANF while they revealed about their partners in Gojra and Faisalabad.
