Court sends Chaudhry Tauseef to jail on 14-day judicial remand in rape case

The officers told the court that four suspects have been arrested over victim's indication.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Local court in Islamabad has sent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMl-N) leader Chaudhry Tauseef to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand in alleged rape case.

According to details, the accused was presented before judicial magistrate Rana Mujahid during which, investigation officers told the court that four suspects have been arrested over victim’s indication.

They requested for the physical remand of the accused which was rejected by the court.

Moreover, Chaudhry Tauseef was handed over to the jail authorities on judicial remand whereas arrest warrants of the co-accused have also been issued. 

Recording statement, the victim, wife of a tailor master, told Sihala Police that she had met Chaudhry Tauqeer for job purpose a few days ago.

The suspects deceptively brought the victim to house near Sihala Railways Crossing by tricking her in the name of interview where later she was subjected to gang rape after forcefully making her to consume wine.

At 6 AM, victim managed to escape when culprits were sleeping.

The affectee was shifted to Islamabad Poly Clinic hospital for medical examination before registering the FIR.
