Rs10 million worth of ice heroin seized at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Customs authorities have foiled a heroin smuggling bid worth Rs 10 million to Saudi Arabia, reported Friday.

Azizur Rehman who was to board flight SV-723 of a private airline that was bound for Riyadh from Benazir International Airport was stopped for checking over suspicion.

Ice heroin weighing at least 1 kilogram and a hundred and fifteen gram was seized from his bag and the culprit was arrested.

Sources at the airport stated that he had hidden the drug in box containing packaged beverage.



According to the customs authorities, the seized drug is worth more than Rs 10 million in international markets.
