Husband torches wife for demanding Eidee
Wife in serious condition in hospital with half of the body burnt.
FAISALABAD Oct 18 (Online): A wife was set on fire by her husband after demanding Eidee (cash gift) for children on Eid in Faisalabad.
According to the details, a husband turned angry when his wife demanded Eidee for children; he splashed kerosene oil and torched her in Ghulam Muhammadabad area of Faisalabad on Thursday.
The neighbors rushed to rescue, after hearing loud cries of the burning woman, and moved her to the hospital in serious condition.
More than half body of the woman has burnt, told the doctors.
At the other hand, burnt woman’s sister-in-law (wife of husband’s elder brother) has described conflicting details of the incident.
The police have taken the accused husband into the custody for interrogation.
