Imran accuses BCCI of showing arrogance
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan launched on Friday a broadside at the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India for not allowing Pakistani players in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Expressing his thoughts in an interview, Mr Khan said the BCCI was showing arrogance for having sponsors in the International Cricket Council (ICC), adding that the BCCI was dealing the cricket by perceiving itself as a "superpower".
Speaking about the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mr Khan said, "Unfortunately, due to the tensions between India and Pakistan, Pakistani cricketers are not participating in the IPL. The BCCI continued to close doors for the Pakistani players to play in the IPL. This gesture by the BCCI indicates arrogance."
"If India does not allow the Pakistani players to play in the IPL, the country should not need to worry. Because Pakistan is having its own quality league," added Mr Khan.
