KPL to be held as per schedule despite Indian conspiracies: Shehryar Afridi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Kashmir Committee Chairman Shehryar Afridi said that Kashmir Premier League (KPL) will be held as per its schedule despite Indian conspiracies.

In his statement, Shehryar Afridi has said that India faced another setback on the diplomatic front due to clear response of ICC on the KPL. “The league would provide an opportunity to the Kashmiri youth to showcase their talents,” he mentioned.

The Kashmir Committee chairman also said that Herschelle Gibbs and Tillakaratne Dilshan will arrive in Pakistan tomorrow to participate in the league. He also paid tributes to both the players and their cricket boards for supporting cricket.

He also hoped that the PCB would soon issue the NOCs to Fakhr Zaman, Shadab Khan, Usman Qadir, Imamul Haq and Muhammad Hasnain to participate in the league.

He appealed to the Indian government to keep sports separate from politics; sports connect people while hatred breaks people. “Cricket is a gentleman’s game, so India should not be tainted with its dirty politics,” he added.
