PSL 2019 live updates: Islamabad United set victoy target of 159 runs for Peshawar Zalmi

Dunya News

Peshawar Zalmi have won two matches and lost one contest.

SHARJAH (Dunya News) – DUBAI (Dunya News) – Islamabad United set a victory target of 159 runs for Peshawar Zalmi in the 11th match of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL-4) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.

IR Bell was the top scorer with 54 runs of 46 balls, while CS Delport scored 29 runs of 18 balls.

Sameen Gul and Hassan Ali took three and two wickets respectively.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi had won the toss and elected to bowl first against Islamabad United.

The defending champions Islamabad United have also not started the season well and lost two games from a total of three.

After winning their first match of this PSL campaign, the defending champions have stumbled and lost their next two matches against Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators so they are in desperate need of a win to recover some confidence and move up the ladder.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi have won two matches and lost one contest.

Despite losing their opening match to the in-form Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi have responded in emphatic fashion by producing two stunning performances with the ball to comfortably beat Lahore Qalandars and then Karachi Kings on Thursday.

Based on form, it is difficult to see past Peshawar Zalmi right now who are playing some excellent cricket and their bowlers especially are flying.

Islamabad United have stuttered after winning their opening game by losing their next two and despite some bright moments, they have failed to put together a complete performance yet.
