(Web Desk) – With the Pakistan Super League entering its final stages, cricket fans in Karachi and Lahore are gearing up for the matches that are scheduled to be held in the two cities later in the month.
While security preparations in Lahore have formally been completed with administrative and security plans finalised, fans in Karachi thronged to buy tickets for the final of the PSL.
In Lahore, Metro bus service will be shut down three hours prior to the start of the matches. Two companies of Rangers as well as 14, 000 police officials would be deputed for security. Under the plan, commandos would also be appointed for the security of important buildings in the city.
The tickets which were available online were sold out just hours following midnight. Courier companies which had been officially designated by the PCB to sale tickets for the PSL final in Karachi say as many as 26, 000 tickets were sold on Thursday. Cheaper tickets ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 4,000 were sold immediately followed by Rs. 8, 000 tickets. Over a duration of less than 3 hours, all tickets ranging up to Rs. 8, 000 had been sold out by 33 centres of the courier company, reported Dunya News.
