PCB allows national players to return to CPL, county cricket

All players were earlier directed to return to Pakistan for the National T20 Cup.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed national players to return to Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and English county cricket due to postponement of National T20 Cup.

The players have been granted permission to represent their respective overseas sides, but they will have to go through fitness tests which will be held from August 22 to 24.

Let it be known that all players were directed to return to Pakistan for the national tournament, which now has been postponed due to the tour of World XI in September.

The tournament was initially planned to be played in two parts. The first phase was to be held from August 25 to 31 in Multan, and second from September 4 to 10 in Faisalabad.

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi told that the domestic tournament was scheduled before the dates of World XI tour were finalized. National T20 Cup will now be played in November, he said.
