Cricketer Luke Ronchi announces international retirement
He played 4 Tests, 85 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and at least 32 Twenty20Internationals for Kiwis
(Web Desk) – New Zealand wicket keeper and batsman Luke Ronchi has retired from all forms of international cricket in an announcement made on Thursday.
Interestingly, Ronchi played for Australia and New Zealand both. In 2008 and 2009, he played for the Australian side before moving to Zealand and donning the black cap.
He played four Tests, some 85 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and at least 32 Twenty20Internationals for the Kiwis.
However, reportedly, the cricketer would play domestic cricket in T20 leagues. In English County, he will be playing for Leicester and for Wellington in New Zealand cricket scene.
One of the several highlights of his career was when he put together 170 against Sri Lanka off 99 deliveries in an ODI in 2015.
