Sharjeel Khan's lawyer said the cricket board has no evidence which it claimed to have earlier

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested the tribunal to stop the hearing of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 spot-fixing case.

The lawyer of accused player Sharjeel Khan, Shaigan Ejaz, said that PCB had no evidence and it was delaying the proceedings. He questioned the claim of PCB that it has strong evidence against the players accused of spot-fixing. He accused the cricket board of using certain tactics to delay the proceedings.

On the other hand, PCB legal advisor Tafzeel Rizwi commented they have temporarily taken back the plea to present Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif as witnesses. He said the board has informed the tribunal that they had contacted Britain’s National Crime Agency to collect further evidence.

The final plea will be handed over to the tribunal on Friday which will be decided later on.
