Younis Khan reaches Pakistan, receives heroic welcome

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Legendary batsman Younis Khan has reached Pakistan after participating in his last international series, and received a heroic welcome at Karachi airport by cricket enthusiasts and Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Shahi Syed on Monday.
Fans showered flower petals on Younis Khan who became the first Pakistan batsman to score 10,000 Test runs.
Younis Khan expressed his feelings and said he is overwhelmed by the love that his fans are giving him. He said it was the blessing of Almighty Allah that Pakistan registered the historic Test victory in West Indies.
The former captain added that he is proud to become Pakistan’s first Test batsman to have scored ten thousand runs. The veteran also made it clear that he has no intention to join politics, and wants to spend the rest of his life like Abdul Sattar Edhi.
