Pakistan beat Bangladesh in women's cricket World Cup qualifiers
Pakistani team scored 227 in 50 overs bowling out the Bangladeshi side for 160 in 49.3 overs
COLOMBO (Dunya News) - Pakistan women s cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 67 runs to record their first win in the World Cup qualifiers, reported Dunya News.
Pakistani team bounced back strongly after losing their first game to South Africa, as they batted first and had a partnership of 76 for the opening wicket.
No Pakistani batter scored 50 but there were many 20s and 30s as Bismah Maroof top scored with 35 whereas Rabiya Shah and Ayesha Zafar scored 34.
Pakistan scored 227 in 50 overs as Bangladeshi captain Rumana Ahmed was highest wicket taker with 3 wickets. In reply none of the Bangaldeshi players scored more than 20 apart from Nigar Sultana and Sanjida Islam.
Bangaldesh were bowled out for 160 in 49.3 overs as Ghulam Fatima got three wickets whereas Nashra Sandhu and Sana Mir got two wickets each. Pakistan s next game will be against Papua New Guinea.
