Mohammed Shami replied, “My wife and daughter are a part of my life and I exactly know what to do and what not to do for them.”
Earlier, the Indian pacer had posted a photo on Facebook of himself with wife. His family was dressed up in western clothing which received severe criticism from the fans.
Some of the comments on the photo were highly objectionable as they claimed that the cricket and his family were not following Islam. People had also advised Shami to make his wife cover the body from head to toe.
Even a fellow Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif expressed disappointment for those who were ridiculing the pacer and his wife. He tweeted, “The comments are really really Shameful. Support Mohammed Shami fully. There are much bigger issues in this country. Hope sense prevails.”
