Officials have written letters to ECB, British High Commission inquiring about delay in visa

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have been left baffled regarding the issuance of the visa of fast bowler Mohammad Amir ahead of the England tour. The authorities have written letters to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the British High Commission to provide explanation regarding the delay in issuing the visa, reported Dunya News.

After receiving no response having applied for visa 19 days ago, PCB officials wrote letters to the United Kingdom (UK) authorities inquiring about the status of Amir’s visa and to clearly inform whether the quickie will be getting a visa or not so that the Board may choose another player to represent the side in the upcoming England tour.

Pakistan will tour England in July 2016 for a full-fledged series comprising of 4 Tests, 1 Twenty20 International (T20) and 5 One Day Internationals (ODIs). The side will also face Ireland in a couple of ODIs as well.
