Pakistan cricket team arrive home after elimination from World T-20

Team skipper Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik did not return with the side.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team’s players arrived home late Saturday night after being eliminated from the ICC World Twenty20 tournament.

The national cricket team s two players Imad Waseem and Mohammad Nawaz reached Islamabad through flight EK-614.

5 of the players including Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shehzad, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, and Mohammad Amir arrived earlier in Lahore through flight EK-622.

Meanwhile 5 other players including Sarfraz Ahmed, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Sami, Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan reached Karachi through flight EK-610. 

The players were accompanied by team Manager Intikhab Alam and Head Coach Waqar Younis.

Team skipper Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik did not return with the side as he shall be staying in Dubai for some days.

Pakistani team was able to win only one out of the four group stage matches it played in the tournament as the collective performance of the side was utmost disappointing.
