Ajmal blasted ICC over double standards, says the international cricket body destroying art of spin

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Star Pakistani bowler Saeed Ajmal has on Monday blasted International Cricket Council (ICC) over its double-standards, saying that the international body of cricket is destroying the art of spin. He said that ICC is only after Pakistani bowlers but doesn’t check the actions of Indian spinners like Harbhajan Singh and Ravi Chandran Ashwin, reported Dunya News.

Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Ajmal said that ICC bans every Pakistani spinner who starts performing well. “When Bilal Asif wasn’t able to get any wickets against Zimbabwe, it was fine. But when he got 5 wickets, his action was declared suspicious”, said Ajmal.

The ‘magician’ said that Harbhajan Singh action must also be checked and claimed that Singh’s action would also have over 15-degree bend. He went on to claim that Ashwin may have occasionally bowled illegal deliveries but at least Harbhajan s action is a clear fraud. "Yet ICC closes eyes on them", he complained.

In his interview, Ajmal also complained that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) didn’t fight his case on medical grounds before ICC.
