Central contract agreed upon by players, PCB
PCB agreed on increasing monthly salaries as well as match fee, claim Daily Dunya sources
LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Central contract details have on Friday been agreed upon by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the players. Sources claim that the PCB has not only agreed to increase the monthly salaries of the players but also to increase the match fee. 32 players will be given central contracts, dividing them into A, B and C categories, reported Daily Dunya.
According to sources, captains of all three formats will be given Category A. The players in Category A will be Misbahul Haq, Azhar Ali, Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan and Muhammad Hafeez. Shoaib Malik, Yasir Shah, Wahab Riaz, Saeed Ajmal, Junaid Khan, Ahmed Shehzad and Sarfraz Ahmed will have Category B. Players successful in getting Category C will be Asad Shafique, Haris Sohail, Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Suhail Tanveer, Rahat Ali, Mohammad Irfan, Yasir Shah and Zulfiqar Babar.
Bilawal Bhatti, Anwer Ali, Ehsan Adil, Shan Masood, Adnan Akmal, Imran Khan, Muhammad Rizwan, Saad Nasim and Sami Aslam may be kept in D category. The final approval to the category of the player and number of the players will be given by Chairman PCB Shehryar Khan.
