Brendon McCullum got out after scoring 65 runs against Sri Lanka in World Cup opener.

CHRISTCHURCH (Dunya News) – Left-arm leg-spinner Rangana Herath removed dangerous Brendon McCullum in the 16th over of the World Cup opening match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Christchurch on Saturday.
 

Brendon McCullum was caught by Jeevan Mendis off the bowling of Rangana Herath when the New Zealand score was 111 in the 16th over. McCullum scored 65 runs off just 49 balls with the help of 10 fours and a towering six.
 

Earlier, Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and decided to bowl first against New Zealand in an overcast condition.
