Cricket: Shahid Afridi slightly injured
Pakistan national cricket team is preparing for Asia Cup 2014.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – All-rounder Shahid Afridi was slightly injured during a practice match session in Lahore on Thursday.
According to details, the ball, bowled by Junaid Khan, hit Afridi’s face while he was playing the last ball of last over. However, he was fortunately not seriously injured in the incident.
Pakistan national cricket team is preparing for Asia Cup 2014 which is due to start from February 25. The tournament will end on March 8.
The tournament will be played at two venues in Dhaka.
Addressing the media, Ex-cricketer and one of the members of the new managing team of cricket board Zaheer Abbas said he doesn’t have a magic wand that will solve all problems at once. However, he said the team was working hard and hopefully it will perform well during the tournament.
