Pak cricket team comes back home
The team was greeted by a large number of fans at the Alama Iqbal International Airport.
LAHORE: Pakistan’s cricket team has arrived back home after claiming the One Day International (ODI) series against India 2-1 and splitting the two T20s.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Zaka Ashraf, while speaking to media at the airport, praised the team for its discipline and organised behaviour.
Commenting on future bilateral series, Ashraf expressed hope that the Indian team will visit Pakistan soon. He also added that the Bangladesh team has not said no for the proposed series and availability of dates was the only hindrance.
ODI team captain Misbahul Haq also spoke to the media and appreciated the performance of young players.
The tour – the first by Pakistan since 2007 – included two Twenty20 international matches and a three-match ODI series.
