ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal government is reportedly considering a change in the previously announced date for the presentation of the 2026–27 federal budget, with the possibility of shifting it from 10 June to 12 June.
 
According to official sources, consultations are currently underway and a final decision on the revised schedule is expected within the next 24 to 48 hours.
 
Speaking informally to journalists in Parliament, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that discussions regarding the budget schedule are still ongoing and no final decision has been taken.
 
He noted that time constraints and the upcoming observance of Muharram are factors being considered, adding that it remains to be seen how arrangements can be managed within the proposed timeline.
 
The minister further stated that certain adjustments are often made even after the budget presentation process begins, emphasising that the situation is still fluid and subject to change.
