S&P downgrades France's rating

Standard & Poor's has decided to downgrade France's credit rating.

S&P decided to downgrade Frances credit rating by one notch to AA from the top-rated triple-A, two sources with EU governments told AFP on Friday.The Standard & Poors downgrade is by one notch, one of these sources said. The credit rating agency had indicated in December that a cut of two notches could have been applied.
