Automobiles sales decline significantly
LAHORE (Dunya News) The sales of vehicles including cars, buses and trucks have reduced significantly due to the rise in dollar prices and interest rate, Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) reported Friday.
The report said the sales of vehicles had decreased by 55 per cent in one year while the sales of passenger cars had been affected the most
On the hand, the sales of pickups, utility vans and jeeps have decreased by 29 per cent.
As per the report sales of tractors and trucks saw a 46 per cent drop during the year while sales of buses fell by 6 per cent.
The PAMA said the automobile industry was being hit-hard due to shortage of raw-materials, exorbitant increase in production cost and difficulties in imports.
