Govt keeps petrol price unchanged but jacks up diesel price

No increase in the price of petrol: Dar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Finance Ishaq Dar said on Friday that while fuel prices will not change over the next two weeks, diesel prices would.

In a late-night press conference, the finance czar stated, "There has not been an increase in the price of petrol." He did, however, mention that the price of diesel had gone up by Rs7.50 per litre.

Dar also said that the increased diesel price will take effect on July 1 at 12:00am.

- Ogra slashes LPG prices -

Earlier today, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) announced price reductions of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The price of domestic cylinder of 11.8kg decreased by Rs229.54 to reach Rs2,092.

The price of LPG had been reduced by Rs19.45 per kg. The new price of LPG per kg has been fixed at Rs177.29.
